Antigua Resorts

Antigua is known for Silken sands, captivating coves. and secluded shores. There are 365 beaches, most located on the island's calm protected Caribbean side. Tucked along the bays of the island, Antigua's beaches are some of the most pristine in the Caribbean. Warm, steady trade winds, a complex coastline of safe harbors, and a protective, nearly unbroken wall of coral reef make Antigua a delight for sun worshippers and watersports enthusiasts. Antigua has many fine beaches scattered throughout the island and visitors have the choice between all-inclusive resorts, luxury resorts, or small inns. Peak season runs from December to April with good sale offerings available during offpeak seasons. Antigua draws a mixture of visitors from honeymooners to yachting crowd around English Harbour. Antigua's eastern coast attracts divers while the western coast is at times a destination for surfers.

Airport: V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU). Resorts are located throughout the island within 15-45 minute drives from the airport.

Weather: Located in the middle of the Leeward Islands, Antigua's weather is ideal with less than 45 inches of rainfall each year, making it the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands. Temperatures range from the mid-70s in winter to the mid-80s in summer. Annual rainfall averages 45 inches and trade winds are nearly constant. Low humidity year-round. The hurricane season is June 1st to November 30 with peak season mid august to mid October. The last hurricane to hit Antigua was in 1999 and in 50 years there have been only 6 direct hits
